DOBOGÓKŐ

 

Dobogókő belongs to the village of Pilisszentkereszt, and since the end of the 19th century it has been one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Visegrád Hills.

 

From the height of 700 metres above sea level, the view of the Dunakanyar is incredible, and Dobogókő is also a crossing point of the National Blue Trail and the Mária Road, making it a prime destination for hikers and photographers as well.

The area is rich in hiking trails and sightseeing opportunities are nearby.

PILIS

 

In the Middle Ages the Pilis was a royal hunting ground, today - also because of its close location to the capital - it is a favourite destination of hikers and cyclists. The asphalted forest roads with well-marked paths are ideal for bike tours.

 

The area is rich in sacral spots: several monasteries of the Order of St. Paul was standing in the woods of Pilis. Remains can still be found at Klastrompuszta, Pilisszentlélek or Dömös.
